Since L commented about the rice cooking slowness, I realized I forgot to share something - last year, we bought a rice cooker. If you search for "rice cooker" on target.com, you'll see it. It's red and about $16.
I was never a big rice eater but the rice cooker really changed my tune. It's easy and always comes out right.
